Dev/hacker exploring software and security through visualizations

Hey, I’m Mark! 👋

I’m a developer, hacker, and software explainer.

After writing, reading, and finding bugs in software professionally for over a decade, I am fascinated by how people think about and interact with code… so I’ve made it my mission to help people see and understand code better!

My efforts toward this include writing, speaking, and building tools.

I’ve been lucky to have worked with truly awesome people on cool projects throughout my code and cybersecurity journey.

Things like:

  • Spoke at DEF CON, ShmooCon, and several smaller conferences
  • Found exploitable bugs in well known-software, targets ranging from embedded systems to decentralized finance
  • Wrote code for projects (such as bncov and Ariadne) in a variety of areas: visualization, custom debugging, code security, reverse-engineering, and fuzzing
  • Served as adjunct faculty, instructor, and trainer in several roles
  • Played in numerous Capture-the-Flag (CTF) computer security competitions, and helped organize a couple, like LiveCTF

Open invitation: if you’ve got thoughts or ideas on any of the topics I post about, I’d love to hear from you!

Reach out to me on Twitter or Mastodon, or email me at seeinglogic @ undaunted.dev to share your thoughts or collaborate.

Til then, keep building the future!
